How To Separate A Mixture Of Sand, Iron Fillings, Sugar and Small Plastic Beads Of Different Colours? | mg-educationallife

How to separate a mixture of sand, Iron Fillings, Sugar and small plastic beads of different Colours? This is a Heterogeneous mixture. First pour the mixture on the clean cement flour and then use a magnet to pull out the iron fillings. After put the remaining mixture in a watertight container and add hot water and stir. The beads will hollow and float above and the sand will sink.  After take off the small plastic beads of different colours. After drain the wet sand and keep the water. After wash the sand a few more times with hot water to dissolve the rest of the sugar. After boil the water to remove most of the water then put it in a cold place so that the crystal can settle out. Then filter out the crystals and recover the rest of the sugar by dessicator to extract the rest of the water.
