Since the middle of 1990's scientists have discovered Ozone holes in purple patches and this has been evident in North pole and South pole.

Ozone depletion it is the damaging or destroying of the Ozone layer by human activities.

Human - related activities are found to be the major cause of Ozone depletion.

- Use of Chlorofluoro carbons in;

Refrigerator

- Halons in Fire extinguishers

Effects of Ozone depletion

The Ozone depletion causes disruption of Food chain. It cause an increase in diseases such as Skin Cancer and eye diseases such as Cataracts.

Ways to decrease Ozone depletion

Stop using Chlorofluoro carbons instead use hydrofluorocarbons.
