Should Schools reopen during the lockdown pandemic?

As many countries are going through the Quarantine or Lockdown, The department of education in others countries they have reopened schools while in some other countries the department of education still reconsider's to reopen schools especially for matriculants and mature students because they are in a phase that will determine their future.

Should Schools reopen during the Coronavirus pandemic?

The are many answers to this question but the questions you should be asking yourself are:

Is my child going to get affected by the Coronavirus?

Will my child be taken care at school, college or university or any educational institution your child attends to?

How will social distancing work when the are many learners in the classroom or at school?

What would happen if a certain learner or teacher gets affected by the Coronavirus?

Is my child going to get affected by the Coronavirus?

If the department of education in your country decides to reopen schools during the Corona virus pandemic, you should ensure as a parent or guardian that your child wears a mask every time when she or he goes to school until the vaccine for covid-19 is found.

You should teach your child about the prevention and danger of the corona virus, it might be hard especially if you have a child aged between 1 and 9 years old because they love to play and it might be hard for them to learn social distancing.

Will my child be taken care at school?

The school that your child attends to, they should sanitise learners every time when they enter at the school premises, the teachers they should sanitise their learners every time when the period of that certain subject ends and they should sanitise their learners even when the school time is over.

During lunch time or break time or cafeteria time, I suggest that the school management team ask volunteers or hire people who will guard learners during the lunch time so that they won't get close to each other.

How will social distancing work when the are many learners in the classroom or at school?

As I've mentioned before you should teach your child about preventions and dangers about the corona virus.

As a parent or guardian you should ensure that at the school your child attends to, the children's desk are 4m away from each from each other.

I know that the are many learners in a class room but I suggest that the school should buy or hire a large tent that can be used on the school field but for certain grades e.g grade 10 or 11.

What would happen if a certain learner or teacher gets affected by the corona virus?

Well this is a hard question and I didn't have many suggestions about it but you can comment down on what you think should happen if a certain learner or teacher gets affected.

What I suggest is the school should run some tests about the corona virus in all the teachers, learners and front line staff e.g cleaners and take tests of the infected person's family and ask the infected person if she or he has made contact with anybody.
